Spray Tan Preparation and Aftercare Instructions
Before Your Spray Tan
Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate your entire body 24 hours before your appointment using an oil-free scrub or exfoliating mitt. Focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and hands.
Skip Lotions & Oils: Avoid applying lotion, oils, perfumes, or deodorant on the day of your tan to prevent uneven development.
Shave or Wax in Advance: If shaving or waxing, do so at least 24 hours prior to allow pores to close and avoid dark spots.
Wear Loose, Dark Clothing: Tight clothing can rub against your fresh tan, causing streaks. Opt for loose-fitting attire and sandals.
No Existing Tan or Sunburn: We cannot apply a spray tan over an old tan, self-tanner, or sunburned skin. Please ensure your skin is fully healed and even-toned before your appointment for the best results.
The Day of Your Spray Tan
Arrive with Clean, Dry Skin: No makeup, deodorant, lotion, or perfume.
Bring a Hair Tie (if needed): Keep long hair off your neck and shoulders during application.
Choose Proper Undergarments: Wear an old swimsuit, underwear, or go without. Be mindful of potential tan lines.
If it’s raining: Please wear a jacket, pants, and closed toed shoes, and bring an umbrella.
After Your Spray Tan (Tan Development & Care)
Wait Before Showering: Follow your technician’s guidance on when to rinse. It is imperative for the proper outcome of your tan that you rinse when advised during your appointment.
Avoid Sweat & Water: No water, workouts, or sweating until your first rinse.
First Rinse – Lukewarm Water Only: Skip soap—just rinse to remove excess bronzer.
Moisturize Daily: Use an oil-free, fragrance-free moisturizer to extend your tan.
Pat Dry After Showering: Avoid rubbing your skin with a towel to prevent fading.
Skip Harsh Products: Avoid exfoliants, retinol, acne treatments, and bar soaps, as they accelerate fading.
Tan Longevity: Your tan will gradually fade over 7-10 days. To maintain your glow, check out our after care products!
